Web Design and Website Portfolio 2010
Vintage Maltese Web Design Portfolio (2007 – 2010)
Step into a time capsule of Maltese web design from an era before UI/UX principles became mainstream and before Figma revolutionized the industry. This collection showcases a set of websites designed between 2007 and 2010 for some of Malta’s top companies—each crafted entirely in Adobe Photoshop, back when slicing PSDs into HTML was the industry standard.
All these websites were designed by me during my time at Liquid Studios Ltd, one of Malta’s leading digital agencies of the time. This archive is more than just a portfolio; it’s a historical snapshot of how websites looked and functioned before the era of responsive design, mobile-first development, and modern frameworks. These websites were built in a time when skeuomorphism, glossy buttons, gradient-heavy menus, and Flash animations were the norm.
By preserving these designs, I aim to document the evolution of Maltese web design and showcase the creative solutions designers had to work with when UX was purely instinctive, and CSS3 was still in its infancy. These projects serve as a reminder of how far web design has come—from fixed-width layouts to today’s fully interactive digital experiences.
Take a nostalgic trip back to a time when designers crafted every pixel manually, navigation bars were image-based, and hover effects were pure CSS magic.
