I had a dream …
A few years ago I had a dream…
A dream that my locality Marsaskala would have it’s own Football Club enlisted with the MFA that together, by time it would come along with it’s own Nursery and football pitch. That dream has now been achieved with a lot of hard work, dedication and support from my friends, family and other people I have met along the road notably James Borg, Daniel Spiteri, Joseph Farrugia, Dr. Teebi and Greg Dawson.
It was a dream that me and my good friend James Borg used to envision whilst we used to play football on tarmac, rubble and god knows what.
We have gone through good and bad moments along the way but overall I’m proud that we have done it. Today football players and kids can enjoy what we didn’t have and youths have now an alternative to grow up in a healthy and sportive environment.
Yesterday, local residents received a magazine called “Maskot” – which I was surprised to find myself in it. The magazine is professionally done and I can imagine what work must have took to publish it, not forgetting the printing costs.
Reading the article, I couldn’t help not to smile for some parts. Mostly accurate but some vital parts were left out. Overall it is a nice magazine and I encourage all residents to have a look and if possible to support/donate.
From the bottom of my heart I wish you all the best of luck and keep it up 😉
